The workshop for the production of pellets is the final subdivision of Poltava GZK PJSC and consists of 4 technological lines with a capacity of 3 million tons of pellets per year each. Technological lines were commissioned in 1970 with a design capacity of 12 million tons/year.

Research at the concept selection stage:
- Determination of the maximum possible productivity of technological lines on the basis of the maximum productivity of one of the aggregates of the technological line - a tubular furnace. Development of pellet production technology. Confirmation of the quality of manufactured products by laboratory testing;
- Conducting audits of existing equipment and technologies of auxiliary plots and redistributions;
- Determining the amount of reconstruction and new construction to ensure the production of 24 million tons of pellets per year of the CPO.

Technological process design criteria:
A technical task is developed for each project of the program. Design works are carried out in accordance with the technical specifications. The technological process is developed on the basis of engineering and performed laboratory tests.
